I have never left a review before, but this medical care was exceptionally poor.
Dr. Kumar takes the time to listen to your symptoms and concerns. He assured me he will get to the bottom of my problem and that has given me peace of mind as I wait for the results of an upper GI and CT scan he has scheduled. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and Richmond Gastroenterologist Assiciates.
My experience with Dr. Kumar has been great. He took care of a situation that I had been suffering with for years. Would definitely recommend his services.

I think he does an excellent job. He has a nice sense of humor and puts me at ease. I appreciate the way he communicates with the patients. He is very patient.
I saw him for stomach pain and stool concerns. He had suggested I do things that I had already said I had tried. After a few times of reiterating in office and following up through email twice, telling him I've already tried that, he continued to suggest I try something I've already tried. I feel as though he did not listen at all to what I was saying.

Went to Dr. Kumar with Gastro issues, (which ended up being a gall bladder attack). He ordered a few tests, but said that he could not help us. I suffered 3 more months in pain, spending thousands of dollars with other medical specialties, before going to another GI doctor, who ordered three other tests, including a Hidascan, (which measures the flow of bile out of the gall bladder). This test revealed that my gall bladder needed to be removed.
