Next door neighbor built a new home and added a new power pole. In the process, they pulled cable attached to my home that partially dislodged a vertical board. Called PSE and explained the issue to Terry who was very responsive, cheerful and patient with me. She booked an emergency repair order and within 20 minutes, John arrived. John was able to fix the issue within half an hour by relocating the cable, reducing the tension on the board and then hammering the board back into place. As a general contractor, I am amazed they are still in business. They are horrible at communicating and drag the smallest job out for months. I could tell countless stories of my jobs and other contractors jobs that are so poorly managed and cost the clients unnecessary time and money. Good luck if you are looking for quick transparent service.
PSE is the only accessible option for household electricity. There aren’t other options unless you are financially able to just dedicate thousands of dollars to switch to alternate sources like solar. There is a solar option that is allegedly funded at times but that is some sort of scammy sounding coop thing that requires the home to remain on the grid, PSE is funneled a percentage of the produced power under the description of buying it from the consumer, and the consumer is still paying for power from PSE. Puget power bill have increased significantly since new meters installed. Going to supposed green sources has driven prices up. Who controls pse and their supply source. Used to be dams that were cheap. Now it's bidens climate change bs.
I wanted to thank PSE for the employee they sent out to perform a locate today; ticket 25110669. She worked very efficiently and seemed very knowledgeable about her task. She politely and professionally answered a couple of pesky questions I had; thanks again for having hired and sent out a great employee.
