This is the Publix closest to my house and frequent often. The store itself is fine and service is good. The problem here is the deli section and the incredibly slow service. Today I waited 30 minutes to get chicken tenders and watched the slowest employees shuffle around looking lost. I looked for the department manager, Dustin Whitenack (so) to complain but he wasn’t anywhere to be found. Until this section improves, I’ll go elsewhere for subs, deli meat or chicken tenders.
I used to really like this location. Not quite as well stocked as the one a few miles away, but convenient on the way home from work. I have been there twice in the last 10 days or so. Despite signs everywhere around the entrance saying masks are required, I saw no fewer than a dozen people in the store out of compliance. RecommendedAwesome little meal kits they have
I know they're doing the best they can with the pandemic but this is a small Publix and they need to do a little bit more. Standing right by the entrance waiting for a cart wipe down while other people exit out and walk right by you isn't a good start. Additionally, if they would institute one-way aisles during the pandemic it would guard against people turning around mid-aisle and violating social distancing.
