I signed an agreement that clearly states rate increases would happen with 30 days’ notice. Despite that, in just one year my rate has increased over 40%, which is completely unreasonable and feels predatory. To make matters worse, I am paying for a climate-controlled unit that is not climate controlled. In the winter, the building is freezing. In the summer, it’s unbearably hot.
