When you get a cut from Darryl, it’s an experience. Hands down the best haircut I’ve ever had and haven’t had since! Darryl is always focused giving each client the best service and haircut possible - the best part about him is his personality which can engage anyone from anyone walk of life and make them feel like they’ve found a home as well as a lifelong friend. If you aren’t sure of who to make your barber, consider Darryl. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
This big lug of a man does a bang up job of cleaning you up in any which way you request all while keeping you right at home with affable conversation. (Get the eucalyptus after rub if they still got it) Always feel like a million dollar man once I leave.
If your lucky enough to get a cut by Darryl then you will know he is the best not just in PHX but the best on the West Coast. Darryl has one goal to make sure everyone who is lucky enough to get a cut leaves looking on point. The pride he puts into his work is second to none. Do yourself a favor and go see this guy!
I’ve been going to the Dreaded Barber of Public Image for a few years now. He is as good as they come. When I present him with an idea of what I want to do with my hair he listens and always turns it into a masterpiece. I trust no one else for a shave. He takes care of his clients. I go in looking like a hot mess at times and come out looking like Hugh Jackman. Yes he is THAT DAMN GOOD!
Darryl is a class act. Not only is he a classic trained barber, who gives an old fashion haircut experience, he has established himself and his shop as a business truly interested in building the local community and neighborhood. He makes his clients feel like they are the most important thing going on in the shop. On First Friday he always is featuring an up and coming artist who is offering great pieces at affordable prices.
The owner, Darryl Brandt, has been my barber for going on 4 years now. He's been cutting my hair ever since he worked out of his little shop in Westgate. Public Image is definitely the personification of his goal and vision; as a result, it's the best new-age barber shop / salon mashup I've ever seen. Great service, great people, great location, and honestly just a fun place to be!
