We always like to visit the Public House when in Rolla. It's continued to keep expanding and freshening itself up. There's a charming and quiet balcony in the back for a laid-back session. Front area starting is nice. We had 9 people, including elderly folks and it worked well. Food selections are delicious at pretty standard pub / grill prices. Their beer selections are good and high quality, at very reasonable prices per pint. Definitely worth a stop when you're in town.
Tonight I had a revelation. A Revelation Stout that is. Streamed from the taps of a local brewery called Public House out of Rolla,Mo. It was one of four on my flight. However, the night took off before I even had my first sip! I told the server I was a stout girl. He looked me up and down and reponsed with, "I don't think you're stout at all." The man had jokes. Wanted to get off the road and avoid the chain places. Randomly picked Public House Brewing Co. and was not disappointed. I was not drinking so I just ordered a smash burger and a Dr. Pepper. Got a real sugar Dr. Pepper in a bottle and what had to be one of the best burgers I've ordered in a long time. My son also ordered a smash burger and even he said it was one of the best he's had in a while. We weren't there long and it wasn't very busy when we walked in.
