Awful Management. The apartment may be nice, but the cleaning checks are outrageous. They require you to clean every nook and cranny and will charge you at least $75 for any excuse they can find. If any of your roommates don't keep up their cleaning assignment for the cleaning check everyone get's billed $75. And they require you to prove that you cleaned everything using their specified products. I wouldn't be surprised if they earn commission on the purchase of these products. My girlfriend lives here and the parking is terrible. They took away 10 parking spots for construction in the neighboring lot and the management hasn’t done anything to accommodate tenants. If you don’t park your car by 6 pm you likely won’t have a spot. Don’t recommend living here!
Experience at Kono Apartments was overall OK that we did have a few maintenance issues that were occasionally not fixed. The one star review is for the apartment management, overcharging students $75 for cleaning checks and being overly harsh with them in order to get money from poor students.
I lived here for 2 years, great ward and not far from campus. The kitchen is nice. Only 2 washing machines and dryers for the whole complex… If both are working. Mold was growing on the wall in my bedroom and this was their response “Yes, the maintenance crew would like you to monitor and clean the area with a bleach product (they recommend Tilex). Bleach will kill mold or mildew, so it would solve both scenarios. We also recommend scrubbing the walls because the bleach solution alone will not remove the stains from the mold... read more
Overall a nice apartment complex. They living room and kitchen layout is nice and they have granite countertops. The rent is overpriced in my opinion. The apartment is very social!!
