Good food, Terrible service, crazy patron, extremelly expensive service charge – Yes the food is nice and the decor looks nice, but beware of the service tip. We ordered brunch in the amount of $30 and we were charged a $20 service charge. The owner even threatened to call the Police when we refused to pay this ridiculous charge. She ended up making a huge show about it even shouting at her waiters, what a nasty lady. Too sad because the food was actually good but the feeling of being robbed has put this place on my never-go... read more

Best Seafood and Pastries in town! – With some friends we decided to try this place after reading the review in Go! Brooklyn. It was one of the most pleasant evening we've had in a long time. Not only the food was delicately prepared and of a very good quality but the staff was discreet yet attentive. I took the scallops and my girlfriend the fish of the day (salmon that day), our two other friends ordered the traditional steak frites. The desserts were scrumptious (I especially recommend the chocolate dome) and when I asked... read more

DON'T GO THERE - SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN – We were waiting to get seated and they totally forgot about us. Others who got there after we did were seated first. After we were seated we were ignored. I had to get up and get my own menu - ok whatever. After being ignored some more, I had to flag someone down to take our order. It was strange, there are no more than 12 tables there and there were four people waiting tables, yet they all looked like zombie chickens with their heads cut off. After placing an order, they brought us ... read more

Overpriced, Horrible Service – We went for brunch and had to wait for a table. Although we were standing in the middle of the restaurant (since there is no place to wait) waiting for 15 minutes, the service staff managed to forget us and seat a couple that walked in the door as a table freed up. Another table opened up next to it and we were finally seated. The staff did not bring menus or waters for at least 10 more minutes. We finally placed our order, after having to ask twice to do so. We were forced to drink the bottled... read more

This friendly French spot offers some stiff competition for Smith Street's brigade of bistros. – The Scene Floor-to-ceiling front windows make an unusual statement for a Smith Street bistro, but gauzy lace curtains, crisp linens on the tables, and exposed brick walls help warm the space. Owner Leslie Bernat greets neighborhood patrons with a heavy French accent and makes recommendations on the reasonably priced wine list while her husband, Jean-Jacques, cooks away in the kitchen. A packed pastry case near the entrance remind... read more

Turned away! – After reading a great review in the NY Times, I decided to dine here. To my surprise, I was turned away by the waitress, saying that they had no tables, but there were many empty tables. What's up with that! I'll never go back....
