Went to Alyssa B. Shaffer, MD after testing positive for an STI when I was raped repeatedly by my ex boyfriend and started displaying classic symptoms as well as an abnormally elevated white blood cell count. I am allergic to Doxycycline which is the main medication used to treat this STI and she prescribed a 5 day supply of Azithromycin instead. As far as doing their job they do fine but I don’t like how fast ultrasound visits have been at this hospital. I came from Seattle and they took their time so I can see everything. This is my first child so this is a very exciting time for me so I find it unfair when ultrasound appointments are rushed especially because those are the appointments my husband comes to and him leaving work early to come to an ultrasound appointment cost us a pretty penny. I couldn't be happier with the prenatal care I've received here. All of the doctors pay attention to detail, front desk staff is great, and the nurses are caring and genuinely good at what they do. Any questions I have are always answered thoroughly. I truly appreciate Providence Women's Clinic!
