My mom has been at the Sub-Acute Care Center, San Pedro, CA., since March 22, 2024. The purpose of her going there was to get weaned off a ventilator and tracheostomy tube from the hospital. The doctor and certain management personnel like to use her age (she turns 88 in July), so they can’t wean her off. We found an herbal remedy with good case studies that could help with her COPD and pulmonary fibrosis, but the facility refuses to try it due to the remedy not being FDA-approved. This facility doesn't live up to their mission. My 38 yr old daughter suffered a Stroke, which has resulted in Anexic brain disorder. While at this facility, she was taken to the ER for severe UTI. She was gone beyond 7 days. No one called us to collect and pick up her personal belongings. When my Son in Law went to finally pick up her stuff, he noticed that some of her belongings were missing.
