Our loved one who was only 23 years old died at this hospital. There were nurses and doctors, like Amanda, Davota, Sam, and Dr Wong, a great respiratory therapist named Ricky and a nephrologist (whose name I can’t remember) that were very kind and we really liked. But our loved one was neurodivergent and very ill and we feel overall his experience was overwhelming and scary and there was not enough consideration for the needs of people with autism. Today (08/14/25) at 3 am, I brought my husband to St. Vincent Hospital in Beaverton for the emergency room. We sat next to a very old man in the waiting room. The man was in his 90s. He was alone and in a lot of pain. He asked for help, and a nurse approached and was very rude to him. She was also rude in the care she provided to my husband. I think it's enough for people to go through an illness, and it's not necessary to add to that the mistreatment and rudeness with patients.
