Prior to admission there is poor communication and a lack of patient follow up. Once admitted the nurses, doctors and staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
I called due to the pain I was experiencing such as severe back ache while 9 months pregnant. I explained that I’ve had this feeling with my first pregnancy when I was having back contractions, this pain was also coming and going. The lady I was on the phone with told me to take some Tylenol and try to rest also that it’s “common” during the end of pregnancy and that I shouldn’t go in unless it’s an emergency. Had my first child here. Every single nurse we had was amazing. Patty and Anna were INCREDIBLE though. I wish I knew their last names so I could properly thank them. They were working on 7/14/25-7/15/25. So thankful for them.
They treat minors that are having babies like an experiment, they have students work on you WITHOUT your consent. These nurses and doctors take advantage of so much young teens that are giving birth, I was one of them and I had such a very very traumatic experience. Seems like these nurses are more well behaved around the adults that are giving birth.
I came here a few years ago for a psych issue (ED ran out of room and threw me downstairs with L&D) and I have never met such kind hearted people anywhere else in the world. I'm slightly biased because I was comparing it to the treatment from behavioral units (which are dehumanizing) but I was allowed to have my phone, TV access, they didn't strip the room or anything: the 1-1 was completely fine and didn't make me feel like I was an animal in a zoo.
