This hospital’s labor and delivery unit needs a serious state audit, specifically regarding night shifts and morning shift changes. During my actual labor and delivery, I felt my care team prioritized a checkbox birth plan over actual safety. It was a really good experience. The doctors were attentive and listened to my wife's issues, and the nurses were fantastic. Wasn't very busy any of the times we had to go, which probably helped too. My wife had 3 different serious issues during the pregnancy and each time they helped tremendously and encouraged follow-up, while explaining what they were finding. Labor and delivery and Nicu departments are the best! Everyone I met on their teams worked so well together and genuinely care about their patients. There were soo many amazing nurses, but to name a few, Kelly, Sahtierra (probably not spelled correctly), Leah, Kaitlyn, Abby, Hallie, Kaylee, Beth and soo many more! Thank you for taking such good care of myself and little baby boy!

I will be forever grateful for the care I received in the Perinatal Special Care Unit. I was inpatient for 5 weeks prior to delivery and was fortunate enough to get to know the staff well. The nurses, cleaning staff, food delivery, and doctors were all so kind, supportive and knowledgeable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met, even managing to get approval for me to have a baby shower in the hospital. They truly live the mission of Providence. I had a great experience here for the birth of my first child. Every single person I interacted with was caring, attentive, knowledgeable, and generally lovely. I felt truly taken care of the whole time.
