Providence health plans says it's a faith based company, I haven't seen any faith yet... Denying a surgery after I jumped through all your hoops now you won't do it because I VAPE 5% nicotine. Someone needs to get off there high horse and help the people who pay for your "crappy" insurance... The company is a joke and would rather watch people suffer with a bad back that needs surgery. Nightmare to deal with. Every time I call about my daughter's account they ask my name then tell me I don't have a policy. I explain I'm the account holder but it's my daughter's policy. Then when I call and give them my daughter's info they tell me I just need to give them my info since I'm the account holder. It makes a lot of sense why they are sued several times a year for ethical and other violations. As a former employee I can confirm it's a standard practice for them to do this to customers. This company is why insurance companies get a bad rep. Absolutely terrible. Told me they 100% covered PGTA testing through Providence Choice. Even though we were told BY PROVIDENCE that it was covered, apparently it was not. Submitted an appeal and they denied it, reason being “the claim denied correctly to provider responsibility.” But also then went on to note that the company and provider were both in network. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?! AGAIN THIS IS WHY INSURANCE IN AMERICA IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.
Evil decision pairing with ASH. Just adjust your claim reimbursements, don’t be apart of a profiteering scheme like ASH. Many providers will be leaving your network and reporting you to the ODFR. I hope Providence gets a wake up call. You can report false provider participation all you want and delay removal of your listed providers to look compliant, but it will catch up with you. Providence is legally required by state and federal law to fulfill network adequacy requirements for different types of providers.
Do NOT work here!. Employees are not valued and they do not follow their mission statement. Very unfriendly management and just don't support their staff. This health plan denies so many claims for sick people that really need urgent medical treatments and I felt ashamed representing a company who treats their members that way.
