3200 Providence Dr C Tower, 1st Floor, Anchorage, AK, 99508, United States
Get directionsWe had absolutely no problems with anything really up until we were being discharged. We only stayed 24 hours. Was told we’d be discharged around 9:30-10 pm after baby’s 24 hour screens. We didn’t end up being discharged until almost midnight. I was also in excruciating pain from my epidural and was bleeding fairly heavy upon any more than minimal physical activity and I wasn’t offered any kind of wheelchair to get to our car. They made me walk. I always thought it was usually hospital policy to wheel a new mother down after... read more
Labor and delivery was great. Nothing at all to say about them. Dr. Vance and Nurse Jourdin were amazing. Mother baby unit was not so great. They rushed us out at 8pm, didn’t bathe our baby, forgot to give my wife medicine (had to ask multiple times), the nurses did not seem to remember anything we asked them and seemed to care more about getting off of their shift than getting the stuff we need for our new born. I wouldn’t say avoid this place but be ready to fight every second for the care that should be granted.
I am so thankful for Providence Prenatal Unit. If it weren't for the exceptional staff my baby wouldn't be here right now. My nurse, Christina, advocated for me in a dangerous situation when I didn't know how much I needed it. The charge nurse, Jessica, fought for me beyond her job description to get me what I needed in an emergency. I can't properly express my gratitude. They saved my son's life.
I just delivered my baby April 3rd. I originally went in for hopes of a v-back delivery but unfortunately that was unsuccessful. The staff here have been completely amazing from labor and delivery to mother baby unit. Every single person that has helped me has been kind, reassuring, and supportive. I would like to especially thank a nurse there by the name of Amber. She has helped me tremendously with my milk supply and because of her I have been able to successfully pump for my baby. She definitely helped me when I was feel... read more
Not impressed at all staff is rude and unaccommodating to new parents. Don’t bother to take the father into consideration at all. Nurses give horror stories the minute you check in scaring new moms instead of being supportive. People should realize they are not god and you have choices and can say no. Pushy when it came to drugs. We listened to them cackle and talk all night loudly while they were trying to rest. Shift change brought another round of front desk rudeness. Nursing staff needs a lesson in professionalism. Third... read more
