Protech is out of business. They sold their phone number to Lion Home Service. They came out to work on my boiler that was not heating and could not fix the problem since it is also attached to our solar heating system. The technician said I should call another company to service my system since the system is too complicated for him. I was charged $200 for the trip and his time.
The two Protech technicians had a great "bedside" manner! Easy to talk with, professional/ built confidence in Protech. It was readily apparent Protech has technicians who are enthusiastic about their service.
Dealing with these yahoos has been an absolute nightmare. First I had a tech come diagnose an issue. 2 hours later, he still isn't sure and says it's probably the furnace being mounted too low. Fine, I filed the claim through my equipment breakdown insurance. It was denied. Ok, fine. So I call back asking to discuss the work and schedule the repair. The front office lady (who has no idea about anything HVAC) says the tech needs to call me back. Ok, I wait a week. I call back. Same story, "he'll call you back". I wait another... read more
We use Protech on a property in the mountains where it has been difficult to find technicians. Protech responded faster than any other companies we called. Our furnace stopped during the cold Winter. They were responsive and thorough and very easy to work with.
