I have been wearing a prosthesis since 1970 as a result of gun shot wounds in Vietnam. The fit I have from Adam can only be described as as close to perfect as this gets. And they handled all insurance issues seamlessly.
They failed to understand our health insurance benefits for my sons remodeling helmet. Insurance will only cover the helmet if our baby has skull surgery or if the helmet would help with avoiding surgery. We have great insurance. My husband works for a very well known pharmaceutical company. My advice is to call your insurance company before the consultant. You're looking at $3000 or more for the helmet! I lost my leg below the knee in 2010 in a motor vehicle accident. I was visited in the hospital from a patient of Adam's. She walked in the room and I had no idea at first that she was also a below knee amputee. I researched some other patients of Adam's and read as much as I could about their process of developing completely custom prosthetic legs.
