I've used this place 3 times in "time crunch" situations where I absolutely had to get one of my foster dogs vetted and no other options were available to me. None of the experiences were pleasant. The first time, the vet (who looked to be 14 years old) attempted to vaccinate my foster dog, and when she stuck the needle in my dog, she went too hard and must have hit bone. Thursday 06/11/2015, my friend brought his rat terrier Mochita to English Plaza Animal Medical Center for vomiting bile and was immediately diagnosed with a piometra or uterine infection, underwent surgery, was billed $700.00 and was picked up the next day. He was told that she was okay, just had a poor appetite. Upon coming home, she began vomiting bile again. She was returned to the hospital and he was told she needed hydration. I have 45 years experience working with vets across NYS (from NYC to Buffalo) as a consumer. I also have personal friends who are in the business of animal care. I have never witnessed what I witnessed at English Plaza by the front office staff ( do not know the role of the veterinarian on duty). Hours are til 6:00 pm. At 6:05 a young man requested service for his dog who was reported to be nonresponsive. The staff refused to even go to the car (which was right outside the door) to observe the pet's condition. I don't recommend this place my Dog died 15 days after a commom surgery, the other day with Prosek they wanted to negotiate a price while my dog was very ill or he wouldn't see him. I hate this place and would never go again. Last time I went it was empty animal lovers pick up the bad vibe.

I love this clinic and have been using it for 12 years. I love Dr. Prosek and tell him he's my Prozac. I have many cats and dogs and they have always been very fair wih me. I was there yesterday with one of my cats and Dr. Prosek is back working full ime I was happy to see him

I joined City search just because I saw some negative views for English plaza.. I have been going there for more than 20 years. With Dr. Prosek and the care for my pets is outstanding. I went in a few days ago and Dr. Prosek was there as always....

DR FRANK PROSEK IS BACK! I too had been going to English Plaza for many years but left once the "new management" took over and Dr Frank Prosek left. But now he's back.....I can assure you that the negative comments & bad experience was during the time he was away.

We were very pleased with the care our English Bulldog received here..from the staff to Dr. Tucci . She saved our dogs life and for that we are very grateful to her and her staff. We felt they showed understanding & care..

STAY AWAY! It's under new management. Dr Prosek is gone. They are greedy. The prices have gone way up. They don't post their normal hours anywhere. They charge people emergency room rates starting at 5:30 PM. We are 20 year customers who are going elsewhere.
