Favorite restaurant in Portland This is my favorite restaurant in Portland. Everything we've ordered there has been wonderful. We almost always get whatever the special is. It's always good, and amazing that it's vegan as well. Lots of interesting, fresh vegetables prepared in interesting ways. Very good vegan "meats" of various kinds. Entrees, salads, sandwiches, soups, etc. Large beer selection. Addictive house-made date fudge.
Love it. We live near Proper Eats and love it. The food is not fancy (burritos and sandwiches, etc) but it's really healthy and is surprisingly delicious. I love my vegetables, but I've had my share of bland health food. This is NOT that. Everything is very flavorful. Love it.
Vegan, Really? As a non-vegan I was skeptical of trying out some vegan food, but found the food excellent. The owners are great and friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a few different micro brews as well as wines, but the food is what you should go for. Saturday nights feature an open mic night that can be a little loud depending on who is playing. There is also a small selection of groceries to choose from too. Try it out....
