Youngest child unfortunately was told he has a different doctor than his sibling. They actually told me he couldn’t be involved in this practice. “Because of missing appointments” I raised concern he’s good. Ok. Met this doctor Amy L Baumer for the first time today. These reviews were scary as a new CT resident, but Facebook mom groups told me to go here and let me say — my experience has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve seen Dr Ogurick and Dr Desantis- We have seen multiple emergency providers as well and everyone has been lovely. Front Desk: The front desk has been friendly, attentive and great for me, but I also make a point of taking first appointments of the day so wait time is minimal- and we have never waited more than 5 minutes. If i could give them less then a would. Disgraceful how they take appointment for physicals then call me to tell me they have to see a different doctor. I ask if that doctor has an appointment available that day and they say no. Rep says she will look into it then call me back. She then leaves a message saying they will keep the appointments as it is. Cool, great! Except they call and tell the day before that they will be consodering them new patients so they are canceling the appointments after all.
For everyone out there - be aware of wrong coding and billing perform by this group. I ended up with a bill for eye exam never, ever done in this office for my kid. Still in process of getting this resolved. I'll keep you posted how they handled this situation.
The office has been great. I've seen several different Dr's all very educated and helpful. My sons Dr is a bit on the passive side for diagnosis, but I will say he's great. He thoroughly listens and is helpful. Sometimes you do have to kinda push him to label certain disorders or problems. But that's refreshing. He's not one to just say Oh he's got adhd or ocd.
