If I could give less than one star I would! I rented an apartment from Paul and his wife Annie for two years in Portland with no issues, we got along great and they seemed like a lovely couple, however I feel called upon to warn people that they engage in less than scrupulous business practices. I have been renting from Progressive Development for twenty years. During that time, maintenance requests have always been addressed in a timely manner, and the property in general has been not only well maintained, but improved. When access to my apartment has been required for maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, the management team has always given ample notice of entry, and has always treated my time and schedule with respect. I would recommend renting from Progressive Development without reservation.
I lived at the property on Hawthorne Blvd from 2014 to 2021. I just got a new job and the landlord let me move in before I even got my first paycheck. He took a chance on me and I am super grateful! This is a family-owned business and it shows. Responses were super prompt and I felt like I was always heard. If there was an issue with an appliance, he would get it fixed right away.
