Called Proactive who is listed as being an authorized repair dealer for LiftMaster as I needed to have a broken garage door belt fixed. When they arrived I was first told by the technician that there was no belt available for my unit. There was then a Very aggressive push from the technicians to instead sell us a new motor for $650, told them no just want a new belt. Then this suddenly changed to they did have a belt, they measured, returned the next day. The belt they tried to install was not the right size and while trying... read more

I would like to clarify a few points on the response from Proactive. The technicians arrived at 4 pm on a Saturday and were here for about 45 minutes , not on a Saturday evening. They assessed the situation, no work was done and the Proactive website indicates free estimates. The technician said twice that there was a belt in stock that would work and could return Sunday and said the time would be 12 noon to 1 PM. I was surprised when a technician showed up Sunday morning at 9 AM. A different technician came out Sunday and t... read more
