We have a gym membership and I asked to extend the hold on our membership but even with the extraordinary circumstances, they wouldn't. This wouldn't be a big deal but their clubs are notoriously dirty and crowded. Funny how a health club doesn't care about member health. Buyer beware!!!
Poor management and policies. Seems like they try to redistribute the normal burdens of running a business/gym onto their customers whenever possible. Closed during a pandemic? - members still have to pay. No gym usage cause of Covid? - they still rent it out to large groups for church services adding unnecessary risk for members and zero benefit to them (less weekend gym time). I was at the pool today. As requested by Princeton Club, I wore my mask until I entered the pool. Others did not. While in the pool, I could see many members in the cardio/weight area. Most had masks on, worn appropriately. However some (too many) had masks worn inappropriately (not covering nose or around their chin). There were even a few with no mask at all. Princeton Club needs to monitor the work out area and enforce their rules.

The gym has great equipment, but it is unfortunate the organization has not developed an appropriate response to Covid-19. They allow you to “freeze” your account, but still make you pay month to month. I understand there were contracts signed, but there is nothing in the contract that addresses a global pandemic. I choose to social distance myself by working out at home so I can feel safe hanging out with my parents and grandparents. After lots of back and forth we were told our request to cancel our membership would be “taken care of”. We cancelled our membership due to risks of having a high risk oncology patient directly in the family and the ongoing pandemic. Thankfully many businesses in the area managed to make things work and were understanding with their customers, but not these guys. Very disappointing.
