I do not recommend this company!!! It looks like I will need to sue to get my prepayment back for work that was never completed. Spencer came out in December 2020 to give me a quote on a roof tear off and replacement. His associate asked what I was planning to do with my old garage, and I told them I was planning to replace it with a new flat roof garage with deck. His associate told me they could also do the garage work and Spencer agreed. I entered into a contract to get the new roof at 15,300 and garage at 56,000, and I got a discount for both. His crew came in and demolished the old garage and then brought in a dumpster and put it in my backyard. They then proceeded to do the roof tear off and informed me that I would need 6 joists replaced and parapet walls rebuilt totalling about 6900. I never saw proof the joists were replaced so I hope they were. I did see the subs rebuild my front parapet wall. When they removed the dumpster, it caused massive damage to my patio. Spencer agreed to make it right. He then had a concrete subcontractor come in and build the footings to the new garage. They finished and then it snowed a month. I planned to do some traveling so we agreed to resume the garage work at the beginning of April. Spencer told me in January my garage materials had been ordered. Spencer contacted me in February offering to clear snow off my roof for 800 indicating that it may not sustain under the weight. I was suspicious of this given it was a new roof and my building is over 100 years old and has withstood many Chicago winters. April came and Spencer gave me many excuses on why he could not start and committed to start at the beginning of May. That came and went and he continued to give excuses or did not respond. I then asked him to speak to my stepdad, which he did, and he told my stepdad we had a meeting scheduled, which was a lie since no such meeting was scheduled. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt on starting, and he never cane through. At the end of June, I came to reality that he wasn't going to do the work so I asked for a refund of the prepayment (about 28k). He told me he was traveling and would get back to me and never did. I then reached back out mid-July and warned him I would sue. He asked me to wait since his son was sick. I was compassionate to this and asked him to refund 1000 as a good faith gesture. He told me he would need to go to the bank to deposit that much. So I agreed. He never sent the money. At this point it looks like I will need to sue to get my prepayment. I am also suspicious whether the roof work was quality given Spencer's many excuses and lack of being upfront. I do not recommend doing business with this company or Spencer Montes.

****************** (8/23/21)My husband and I hired Prime Roofing Group in December, 2019. The project was completed the same month. We got this company from HOME ADVISOR. ********** ******, the owner of Prime Roofing Group, was hired for the installation of a new roof. Items included in the contract provided a 15 year warranty and ensuring water tight seals for the purpose of preventing water seepage. Also, **************** warranted that new drain covers would be installed to prevent clogging. All of the items above were stated in the written contract. In July of this year, heavy rains resulted in rain pouring into our home. We texted, emailed and left phone messages with no response. Only after we threatened to go to the **** County ****** *************** did **************** contact us. He told us that he could not do anything about the gathering of clogged leaves. We reminded him that we paid extra to prevent this problem. At that point, we heard nothing further from him. Clearly, **************** made false representations in order to acquire a great deal of money. We most definitely DO NOT recommend this company This is our opinion. He also made a verbal promise of a $100.00 gift card. We never received the card.

I hired Prime Roofing Group for a 5 year maintenance plan for $1000. Spencer stated that they would come to inspect the rook every 6 months to insure everything is ok. The company one time (the initial session) to maintain the roof. I noticed that I have not see or heard anything about the roof IN 2 YEARS, I emailed and left voicemails (after calling) multiple times. I did not receive a call back. I had to text the number given on the contract to reach Spencer, which was the same number I was calling, when Spencer finally responded. It took an additional 1 month for us to get another inspection, and I did not hear from Spencer again. I had to request for the results of the inspection multiple times. When I finally got the results from my inspection, I scheduled a time for them to come to complete the small maintenance repairs and they NEVER CAME BACK. I called to reschedule multiple times and Spencer kept giving me excuses why the service was not fulfilled. After waiting additional month to be services, I asked for my money back at least for the 4 years that was not completed. Spencer agreed to refund me $800 after disputing the request. Spencer stated that he would drop a check off the following. Not to my surprise, Spencer was dishonest and did not deliver the check. Then I asked for the check to be mailed. Spencer stated that the check will be in the mail by the end of the week. I gave Spencer 10 business days to return the funds, but the check never arrived. A month later after complaining about not getting my payment, Spencer finally sent the payment suspiciously via Zelle form an unknown number. I scheduled another roofing company to come look at it & they said that I have $950 worth of repairs on the same roof, Prime Roofing Group should have been maintaining for the pass 3 years. NEVER EVER AGAIN I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

Same as prior reviews - PRG runs a terrible business. They are unresponsive to phone calls or texts and often no-show for appointments. They make excuses for not showing up and are disrespectful of the clients that pay them for their work.

THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY WHO JUST TAKES CLIENTS MONEY AND DOES A VERY POOR JOB. WHEN THEIR NEWLY INSTALLED ROOF LEAKS THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR CIENTS . THEY DO GIVE EXCESSIVE EXCUSESS AND TO WHY THEY CANNOT COME AND THEY DO NOT FIX THE ROOF PROBLEM THAT THEY CREATED DUE TO THEIR SHABBY INSTALLS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT PRIDE THEIR WORK NOT DO THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT TAKEING MONEY FROM CLIENTS I GIVE THEM A FAILING GRADE
