I had a bad fall with open wounds on my back, my side and my hand. The triage nurse mentioned possible stitches. After waiting for 6 hours in an incredibly filthy environment (not sure if these are Ontario hospital standards now) I saw the doctor for 1 minute. No antibiotics, no xray , no nothing. A nurse in training bandaged me and I was sent home. This is a disgrace. How come true emergency care and cleanliness don't exist anymore in hospitals?
I give 0 stars . This hospital has gone downhill. They allow smoking infront of hospital doors . Talked to security they said the hosptisl isn't enforcing no smoking policy anymore . Even though allergies and asthma exist for people who visit it daily . My experience today was not great. Went to emerge and got in fairy quickly with a ankle injury and even got a xray under 30 minutes. Then waited 5 hours after said xray just not to see a doctor. Waited 3 hours for a doctor who didn't know stuff but knew the antibiotics which helped me were a mistake and referred me to the same clinic where I got them from, went a week later and waited 11 hours 4 of which were in the actual room waiting for a doctor to show up they had to move me because the first section I was in was closing because that much time had passed and it was pretty much the same thing as the previous doctor but she seemed less clueless
Great place if you want to die in the waiting room. They have a new sign up to tell waiting times and other information...lol Who ever does the calculations doesn't have a clue..
If it's a true emergency, you don't wait as long. Not everyone thinjs they should have to wait, and 8 certainly understand, but what is the alternative? The staff is doing the best they can with what they have and what they must treat. Give people some grace.....
