Wanted to order some short rib ($25), but it does not come with rice you will have to pay $3 if you want that… insane. Food isn’t nearly good enough to match the prices and extremely claustrophobic dining area. Also doesn’t help they don’t stay true to posted hours and often are not open.
Have been hearing about it for a few years from friends, went last week or the week before. Blown away!! Boyfriend and me shared some apps, pho, and watermelon sorbet. Plus a few drinks. Everything was so tasty, nothing felt one note. Our server was very friendly, helped us with some questions about the menu. Despite fast pace, we did not have to wave anyone down, and everyone was eager to help. Will be coming back ASAP!!
I gave this place two chances, but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. The first time, we came because a friend highly recommended it, but we were seated in a very cramped and uncomfortable spot. I thought maybe it was just bad luck, so the second time I actually made a reservation in advance. Somehow, we were seated in basically the same tiny area by the kitchen again. Good vibes and good service overall. Food had some hits and misses. The beef carpaccio was great, but the shrimp chips pairing tasted stale as if they were left out. The corn was really good as well. Unfortunately, both noodle dishes were not good. I got the beef pho and the peanut noodle 4/10 for both. I would definitely return to grab a beer and eat the carpaccio and corn again.
