Walked in for my appointment, sat in chair they placed bib on me... go over price for today... BAM, some random extra charge from previous appointment almost a year ago is told I owe!!! Unethical & unprofessional. I went to this office 3 times over the past 18 mos for routine exams/x-rays/cleanings. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance, so I tried Dr. Tabbita. I’ve had progressively worse experiences each time. I work in health care & understand billing & insurance. There’s a lot of fancy equipment in this office. I know how that gets paid for. Unethical & unprofessional. Each of my 3 visits here got progressively worse. They are always pressuring you to pay out of pocket for additional imaging and procedures that your insurance doesn’t cover. There are always temp fill-in hygienists - trouble keeping employees perhaps? I like continuity with my hygienist. Icing on the cake: they’re charging $20 per patient for their increased cost of PPE due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Profiting off a pandemic - the epitome of unethical.
