I saw Dr Tory Prestera, who substituted for Dr Guam, today to discuss visual loss in my L eye. Dr Guam had requested my records for all of the were care specialists I had seen since the initial vision loss in 2012. Before seeing Dr P, I was given several tests by his staff. When I called to make the appointment, I was told to reserve 2.5 hours as the doctor likes to take time with his patients. I have never seen anything like it - it was a factory/mill - so many patients waiting and the doctor gave me less than 5 minutes. At my first question, he had his hand on the door knob, didn't even answer me, opened the door and asked me to follow him. He told me to return in a year and sent me on my way. Dr prestera is one of the best ophthalmologists I've ever had. He understands my eye condition and knows what to look for. He is always polite and professional. I would highly recommend him to any new patients

There's a reason why he has a low rating. The whole staff is rude and treats you like that. And the Doctor let's you wait in the room while he socializes with a nonpatient about other things than medical. They also did not inform me before surgery on all money owed and then tried to cover it up later

Absolutely the worst doctor experience ever. Rude beyond comprehension. Insane waiting time - they schedule appts and the dr isn't even there! Similar to other comments here - wish I had read them first! Avoid at all cost...plenty of polite, respectful eye doctors out there...

I had one major issue with Dr. Prestera. He ordered a dacryocystorhinostomy for me for a blocked tear duct. The tube did not stay in and the opening is so large that I have now developed chronic dry eye resulting in a condition called Recurrent Corneal Erosion. Dr. Prestera actually tried to blame this issue on my having interocular surgery in 2013. He went on a rampage about my having a surgery that basically saved my vision! He exhibited rudeness, disrespect and a lack of professionalism.

Dr Prestera is an excellent Opthalmologist and a very likable Professional. He is always genuinely interested in his patients well-being. You never have the feeling that he is rushing you through the appointment.
