Was very pleased with the entire process of my surgery. Dr. Shafiq is considerate and spent time diagnosing the best options. His staff took care of all upcoming events and follow ups. Highly recommend.
Referred by ER, and it all went down hill from there. The PA at the bayfront location continued to push for surgery, when nothing else had even been tried. No cortisone shot recommendations, no physical therapy recommend, just said your insurance wont cover anything, unless you go back to the ER and or try PT like once and then tell them you cant do PT because of the pain in spine. 3 weeks later, same story, until I asked why cant we do cortisone shots? Dr Koebee is super thorough, really listens to all the things, and shows genuine concern. The doc also does a great job of answering any questions I had about the complexities of the surgery. I definitely don’t want any other surgeon working on my low back issues. Maria and Chris are also fantastic at what they do. It is a HUGE blessing to be cared about by each staff member in equal measure.
