The facility is NOT "kid friendly" . Do not rent here expecting to have your child trying to get any physical activity outside without violation of the lease . If on the other hand you enjoy having your child locked up , than this maybe the place for you .
I had to put a rating but it doesn't even deserve a star. My husband and I signed a year lease with them. Two months after we moved out we got a collection call stating we owed the apartments $1400. We asked them why and they said because they had to replace the carpet. We asked for them to send proof of a reciet and they never sent it. We called the apartment complex and they refused to speak with us. THey sent a paper to the collection agancy stating that we never showed up for our exit interview, which is NOT true. There were several reviews written apartmentratings.com but now gone, probably at the behest of Broadstone, who operates several properties in the area. They were bad reviews, ranging from poor customer service to rude management. Parking STUNK, and if you want to go month to month after your lease is up they will nearly DOUBLE the rent in an attempt to make you sign a lease (I was paying $950 with a lease, they demanded $1450 per month without a lease...all while advertising the units for $750 a month because the DECENT res... read more
I will just state that these apartments are beautiful and definately a dream come true....although the staff very quickly turned into a nightmare. Long story short our fridge had stopped working and as soon as it did we let the front desk know....after several days/calls/ and attempts our fridge was not fixed. Instead we were blamed and they told us it was over filled....so we took some items out leaving only ice cream and frozen items. What I like the most about Newberry Square: excellent security, modern look, new applicances, feeling of spaciousness on upper floors that exeeds expectations, friendly and efficient office and maintenance staff.
