Let me tell you about Preferred Service Heating and Cooling. Our furnace decided to stop working Saturday night. I had a tech come out and look at it. They said it was done wouldn’t work ever again. We had a gas leak start late at night on our furnace. We turned everything off and next day I contacted Steve of Preferred Service Heating, Cooling, and Caring. Best decision ever!!! Steve walked me through what to do and who to call to get gas assessed. Then went out of his way before end of day to squeeze us in to get it fixed before the cold weather kicked back in. 9.24.2025 follow up - Steve cares! Had a piece of metal protruding where the filter is inserted. Steve took it apart, fixed it, and ensured other parts were working properly. He said it was follow up and did not charge. Professional care and integrity! Steve did a great job walking me through remote trouble-shooting and problem root cause identification prior to the scheduled call-out. After having used both the large corporate HVAC companies and independent HVAC like Steve, it’s such a big difference! Imagine someone being on time, being honest about the service and your options, and completing the work at the time of service! That’s what you get with Steve. I’m glad I found him and have his contact info saved for the next time.

Steve is amazing! He and his crew installed a new furnace, AC, water heater, and water softener in my house almost 5 years ago. When I started having some issues with my softener and furnace I called him up and he came out so promptly and fixed it… AND honored my warranty even though it was due to my lack of maintenance and not his work or product. He was professional, polite, and extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to anyone for any HVAC or water heater/softener needs.
