We foster kittens and had ringworm outbreak. Vet said spores can live in ducts for months and reinfect. After we cleared cats, we had ducts cleaned and sanitized with antifungal. No reinfections since. Foster coordinator now recommends duct cleaning after any ringworm or panleukopenia foster. You can't bleach ducts. You have to clean them. For rescue homes, this is infection control.
