Wish I could give a zero star. Pratt Homes of Tyler will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to sign on the dotted line. After the sale they ignore calls, emails and have no idea what's going when you do get ahold of them. They double the price of the contacted work then expect you to deal with all the contractors. So far every step has had major issues and getting them to fix the problems is a hassle. Be sure to check the work the contractors do because Pratt will not step foot on the property. I am so disappointed with Pratt homes. They take advantage of buyers and the sales people promise things that they know is not going to happen. They don't even do the things that are on the contract. My sons house has been here for over 6 weeks, they are already paying the mortgage and haven't even received the **** to the house. They didn't even clean the inside to make ready. Subcontract never closed up insulation and vapor barrier. We now have rats eating water lines and water damage. I would never suggest anyone buy from them!

Awful experience buying from them. Lots of promises from Sales team but nothing promised have come to light. We have been in our "Home" more like a wooden tent actually for several months and do not have septic and zero repairs have been made from damages of transportation and lack of finishing out home properly! We bought the home and told the sales and managers that this would be our permanent residence. I'm not one to write a review but after shopping around and talking to different sales center, I ran into Rustin at Pratt Homes and this guy is a rare find. He was patient, and answered our questions without any sales pressure. His knowledge and professionalism won my wife over. We immediately became comfortable with Rustin and Pratt Homes! We look forward to building our new home with Pratt Homes!
I am being generous giving two stars. Please do your research before entering into a contract with Pratt Homes in Tyler. Also, do not pay cash. You have no leverage to get your home finished. One of their subcontractors told me it has taken over a year to finish out these homes once brought onto your lot. Go to UBH or another stick builder and get a better product faster. Communication is bad, customer service even worse and when you can reach someone to talk to, they give you a canned response and nothing is done. Our... read more
