I went to Dr. Thaker’s office for an annual physical. I was “briefly” seen by Dr. Thaker personally for approximately 10 minutes discussing my general state of health - no new concerns raised. To my surprise, I was charged an additional “Office Visit” fee for an annual physical which in the past and/or typically is covered at 100%! . I am not sure what type of “Bait and Switch” tactics they have going on, but I will not be revisiting his practice. I went to Dr. Thaker for an annual physical exam covered by my insurance. I made sure that his practice was in network before going. I had a roughly 10 minute discussion with Dr. Thaker about my general health and wellness and did not discuss anything further . I was then hit with a $561 additional charge not covered by insurance for asking questions Piedmont states were “outside the covered scope of the visit”.
