THIS PLACE IS WAY TOO UNDER-RATED. – Been going here for years, never had one bad meal.If you don't like this place, then you must be ordering the wrong things, because Powells Seafood is the best. If i was being sentenced to death and they gave me my last meal of choice, i would choose powells seafood. Powell's Seafood Restaurant This place has great chinese food. The waitress will always tell you if someting is not fresh. I love the sachuan beef and the corn soup is excellent. The prices are also great. I always order way too much because the food is really good

Best Chinese/Mandarin restaurant in Portland – I have been going here since I moved up from California in 2005. It is a great place to eat and it is where we take our friends and family when they are visiting us from out of town. They also catered my wedding and people absolutely loved the food!! Try: Salt & Pepper Squid, Seafood Fish Maw Soup, Ginger Crab, Beef & Broccoli, Chow Fun and their Fried Shrimp! You will not be disappointed.
Frozen Food? – I decided to try out a new local restaurant and stopped here by chance. I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal so just order the appetizer sampler. It was probably the worst appetizer I have had in recent memory. The barbecue pork was tough and discolored like it was stuck into a microwave too long. I have been coming to Powell Seafood for more than 7 years. They have excellent food, excellant service, and are a very kid friendly atmosphere. My order is always at my table within 5-10 minutes after I order. The portions sizes are big compared to the price. I just want to say Thank you to the Powell Seafood owners and staff for making this restaurant a #1 place to eat.
Great Restaurant – Most people would probably just drive by this restauant on Powell Blvd since it is very non-descript. The restauarant opened in either 1996 or 1997. We used to live near the restaurant and were regular customers - a couple times a month - through 1998 until we moved out of the area. Great customer service! – Restaurant isn't roomy but great for families and GREAT customer service! Prices are also good. A very friendly place.
