Had my wedding here the other night and wow what a night. I had read about the service being great but didn't truly understand till we got there. The got service and professionalism was second to none and not just for the wedding. They were gracious and kind throughout the whole two days to my guests. My guests were raving about the service and in particular our parents which they took phenomenal care of which was so important to us. Thank you for such a perfect day.
Ran out of food at cocktail hour and main carving table at reception. Service was soooooo slow to replace

clean, reasonable pricing and a shuttle between the hotel and the event? that's a win in my book. my only issue (and one confirmed by a couple staying last night) was VERY WARM in the hotel room (s) with NO WAY TO MAKE IT COOLER. the baseboard heating unit on the wall was on high and the a/c unit would only blow hot air... that's an issue in my book (and others apparently). building wide? who knows... with working a/c i would make it 4-5 stars.
I highly recommend the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel for any event. As a professional photographer I work at many venues, and they are at the top of my list. Their service is exceptional.
