Our Carriage House Bakery features a traditional wood-fired brick oven that produces crusty, hearth baked artisan breads. Our breads are made using organic and wholesome ingredients; they are not made with fats, fillers, or preservatives. The dough is scaled by hand, shaped by hand and the bread is put in the oven on a peel, by hand. Each loaf of bread has its own characteristics and no two are exactly alike. RecommendedIt offers a great selection of healthy food including organic options, bulk items and their own bakery. The staff is very helpful.
The community is the best part of our Co- op, but the food is top quality, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Produce is the best in town, the cheese selection is epic, and the coffee is delicious.
I just wanted to thank u all for Rockin’ It!!! I was in today and sooo impressed with how you’ve all adapted the store and ways of packaging, etc. for maximum safety and cleanliness. Amazing store super helpful staff wide variety of products
Great local produce and friendly staff. I also love their selection of loose teas and spices. They also have healthy and delicious prepared food options from the Big Spoon Kitchen and freshly baked bread from their own onsite bakery. It is definitely worth the trip to Potsdam every week.
I buy nearly 100% of my food here. There may be lower prices on some things elsewhere, but it depends on what you're shopping for - bulk items and spices are definitely cheaper! I'm "low-income" but find I can eat well and reasonably at the Co-op. I figure I'd rather spend my money at a local cooperative that benefits the community than at a corporation that removes their profits from our region. Even if it did end up costing me a little more, I feel that the food I put in my body is *the one place* I'm not going to scrimp. ... read more
