I hired Potomac Home Support to take care of my mom while traveling for work. On day 1, the nurse called me to ask how to administer my mom's insulin, the only reason she needed to be paid $200 a day for her 2h visit. During those 2h, she sat on the couch after helping herself to the food I had ordered my mom, so she wouldn't have to cook while I was away (because she can't cook). Very unprofessional staff. Was yelled at in my own home and they threw stuff away that didn't belong to them. I felt like calling the police due to how the staff member was acting in my home. I'm very displeased.

We have just begun working with them but they have been wonderful. The person who answers the phone can be very abrupt but once you get past her, everyone is lovely. We needed to arrange in-home PT and OT for my mother and Angie really went above and beyond to help us get the paperwork in order. My mother loves her physical therapist Dr Mohamed, who is so kind, knowledgeable, respectful, and encouraging, and we also really like the Kerri Kirby-- she knows her stuff! The PT I had was good, but their billing and authorizations dept is lacking. They do not respond to emails or voicemails and their phone is almost always set to voicemail so you don’t have the ability to speak with someone if there is an urgent need. My son has been without therapy for a week now and he needs it for the recovery from his surgery. I have even offered to pay out of pocket for services if insurance delayed authorization to ensure continuous care so I honestly don’t understand what they are doing. The last bill ... read more

The absolute worst! After numerous faxes and phone calls from the doctor to set up home health care for my mother who has early dementia. The staff was rude, dismissive and denied ever receiving a fax or phone call At one point even telling the family member "that is not my problem". We asked to speak to coordinator who was defensive when questioned about why the office couldn't be reached for one week.
