I lived at MAA Katy Trail for 3 years and had a generally good experience, but there were some cons that caused me to move out. Starting with the pros, I loved the location. Being by the trail and living in the West Village area was an awesome experience. I rarely needed to use my car because there were so many bars, restaurants, and stores within walking distance. Today on a Sunday I felt bad calling for a maintenance request, but the fridge stopped working and food inside would've gone bad. The response was pretty quick and Luis took care of the issue in a timely manner. Luis was very professional and knowledgeable and a great person.
BLUF: Not a great area, security sucks, building is old with lots of maintenance issues, some of the staff are good and some are not, mail system is abysmal. We spent about 3 years here. Location is convenient if you're in uptown for work, or if you like running on Katy Trail. However, indefinite construction and traffic issues make it really inconvenient to be on Lemmon right now.
