Tracing its origins to the year 1960, when the Porto family made the tough decision to leave their home in Manzanillo, Cuba. After living through the drastic changes that were taking place around them, they requested permission to leave the country. If you're after a classic Cuban sandwich, try the medianoche, made with roast pork, ham, mustard, Swiss cheese, and dill pickles served on soft, sweet bread similar to challah, then head to Porto's.
You can't beat the cakes they make here. Every single time light & fluffy! Love this place.
Their Refugios are the best in the L.A. area.
