Too expensive for estimates
RecommendedWe just bought a house with a water tank that had been worked on by Portman previously. The pilot light wasn’t staying lit. We called at noon and Mike was out to help us within a few hours. He was extremely professional, friendly and answered all our questions. I will definitely be using Portman in the future. Would highly recommend!
I will definitely be recommending Portman Mechanical to others. After having another so-called HVAC man out who pretty much spend a couple of hours messing around and over filling the refrigerant, charging an arm and a leg and leaving. I called And the scheduler was very nice and accommodating and put me on the schedule for the following day. Mike came out and actually diagnosed the problem and got the AC back up and running again. I couldn’t be more happy.
Portman mechanical installed two furnace and AC units for me back in 2010 and received several referrals from that job but when it came to follow up and maintenance AFTER the sale, they were not available. Fortunately I was able to troubleshoot and fix the issue myself.

Portman Mechanical was able to get me quickly and did a great job on one of the hottest days this year. Mike was very professional when explaining what happen and was able to fix the problem without any problems. The rates are very reasonable and I will definitely be using them again. Major shout out to Jennifer that was probably working hard on trying to field phone calls and set appointments. She took time to talk to me and make me feel like my emergency was her emergency. Thanks Jennifer and Mike.
We were very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work performed by Portman Mechanical. We had contacted them to install a whole home humidifier and they were swift, punctual, and fairly priced. We highly recommend their services.
