I had miserable chronic pain - in my mouth, tongue and jaw. I saw doctors and an ENT specialist and they could not figure out what was causing the pain. My dentist said I must be grinding my teeth and made me a mouth guard (for $427) that caused more pain. I threw it away after two days! I went to John Summer for a bite guard. At one point, while I was still in treatment with him, he sent me an email out of nowhere that said, "Sure I like you and I look forward to getting to know you more, but I know better than to have any expectations that you might be ready for another lover for years or even forever, and even then that you would consider one old enough to be your father."
