They're still open! – I just called Portland Brewing and they had no idea there was a rumor their business had closed. They are very much open for business.
A Northwest brewpub relaxed enough to accommodate both families and the after-work crowd. – In Short The warmly toned walls, shiny copper brewing vats and high-energy atmosphere feel inviting and familiar in this industrial neighborhood. Good beer, above-average pub food, and laid-back service make it a local favorite. The fare here is more serious than what you'd expect from a pub, ranging from blackened prime rib salad burgers topped wiht blue cheese and bacon. The house ales are a treat--try the rich BlackWatch Cream Port... read more
cptnlono – Fantastic food and service on numerous visits over the last 3 years. Try the Pork Loin or Pot Roast and mashed potatoes - covered with a fresh Demi-Glace, NOT powdered gravy like you get at other places. Prime Rib, Oysters also great. Always a great meal, we've tried many items on the menu. Food selection and quality WAY above most pub-style restaurants. Outdoor seating nice, indoor seating a bit crowded.
The Best – We where on in Portland August 10-20, visiting our son. We went to Portland Brewing Company one night. It was a wonderful dinner. Everything was great. With the big choice of restautants in Portland we choice to go back to Portland Brewing Company our last night in town. Great Place.
My favorite! – This is my absolute FAVORITE brew pub in Portland. The beer is wonderful and so is the atmosphere!
Thank you Mac! – The unique and refreshing adult beverages along with a relaxing atmosphere compliment what I believe to be the best fries in Portland. The 25 minute drive from West Linn is the only objection. However, it hasn't stopped our family from at least making a monthly journey to our FAVORITE!
Horrible Service – They are extremely under-staffed and the service is THE WORST. Our waitress asked for drink orders 15 minutes after we sat down. Se didn't return until 15 minutes after that with our first round. We won't go back. For burgers and beer, this is definitely not worth it. Then, I was telling a friend about our bad experience and he said he was at the BAR trying to order a sandwich and was ignored for almost 45 mintues. Screw it.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Beer – PBC is the best brewpub in Oregon, hands down. Brewpubs come and go, usually because they forget they are not just a brewpub, they are also a restaurant so they need to have good food and service in addition to good beer. The Tap Room at PBC delivers the goods in all respects. Both service and food have steadily improved over the years. The ambience is fabulous and the menu is interesting. You won't find just greasy pizza or mediocre pub food like you do at some of the other guys. For ... read more
