She is the one doctor in this practice I refuse to see I have been coming here for years and have never had any issues with any of the providers I've seen until I saw Dr Cohens. It takes a lot for me to be upset with a medical provider, but this woman treated me with a bias. I am used to not being listened to as a woman of color, but being blatantly ignored and then when I turned out to be correct about being pregnant essentially fat shamed by her is absolutely ridiculous. I was under Dr. Cohens care with both my children. I was considered High Risk pregnancy and she did everything possible to make sure I understood my care plan and calm my nerves.
It's saddens me to even have to leave this review. I have never in my life seen a doctor be so rude and disrespectful to a patient. Not just any patient a pregnant scared hurt and upset 29-year-old black woman. She was rude and nasty with her from the minute she walked in the door. She never said hello or bothered to introduce the student teacher never asked the patient if it was okay for a student to come in the room. Maybe I came on an off day but her bedside manner was subpar at best. I came for my first maternity visit and I had seen someone else in the practice but was referred to her. She breezed in, introduced herself and proceeded to treat me like I was #324 of the day. It was completely rushed. She didn’t ask me about myself, medical history—nothing.
