1st time ... nachos were awesome! The chips were fresh and crunchy, they were hot and cheesy. The lobster bisque was delish, creamy, a hint of sherry and small chunks of lobster. The beet salad was fresh and beets were firm and sweet walnuts with feta cheese gave the salad the perfect combination. My husband had clam chowder it was thick and creamy. The fruit de mer was awesome, fettuccine, lobster, shrimp and scallops all in a delightful alfredo sauce. would definitely return!

2 lobsters for 25 dollars, yum!!
staff was very rude. did not tell us where to stand while waiting. we just kept changing spots. there were many people waiting without their mask on but the waitress only yelled at us that "I'm not going to keep telling you to keep your mask up.

Hi Chris. My name is Beth Poitras and I am the GM here at The Porthole. I knew of this encounter yesterday and you were asked several times by one of my managers on duty to put your mask on. We ask everyone to wear a mask at all times until they are seated and unfortunately we have to patrol to make this happen. The food is not good. The coffee creamer was bad and curdled in the coffee the breakfast sandwich is supposed to be grilled and even tho I asked to make sure it’s toasted it still came just soaked in butter and not toasted. I won’t be returning here. I gave it 2 tries and they failed both times.
Nice waterfront deck, right downtown in Portland.
