Thank God this place is getting shut down next year, the staff there all hate their jobs so much that they abuse and beat on the clients. They also steal from the clients for their own benefit - not only from the clients monthly government benefits checks, but also out of packages they receive from family. They claim they are a non profit but you would have to be pretty stupid to believe they don’t make a profit off of the client’s monthly disability checks.
All staff provides a quality of care, love and patience, staff were friendly dependable reliable and trustworthy I miss you all out there God bless
Hello everyone. While I don't have a recommendation to post, I am looking for someone who could help me. My mother worked with the clients at your place for years, and has a plaque on the grounds somewhere, honoring her service. I read in The Recorder this faculity may be closing in 2021. I want to say a big HI to everyone at Porterville Developmental Center. I am retired but I miss working with the staff and working with the clients. I learned to get alone with other staff to make things run better for the clients. I always wanted to work well with other supervisors to support their staff and understand what other staff's jobs were to help each other. Jim cannon & Bridgett on unit 17 are very prejudice & told the African American clients they need to get hung & they wanted to get suspended so they can have Thanksgiving off, they need to be fired they treat the African American clients so bad
I love my job and all that I do for the clients,it's a good place to work as long as you stay out of the riff raff .
