Port of Tacoma does not work for the people of Tacoma, but for multinational fossil industry, who has been donating campaign $ cash to port commissioners for years. It's long time for term limits and for a port commission that represents the people and includes the Puyallup in a meaningful way like the treaty spells out. Never had a problem with any of the people I encountered, but the roads are terrible with bomb crater size pot holes. The 11th street bridge is permanently closed due to it's decrepit condition. The main road in was recently resurfaced, but all the others are terrible. Very difficult to get in and out of here especially in the afternoon rush hour. Also, homeless people and ramshackle RVs are popping up all over.
Picked up a specialized load going to Tennessee. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. I've had dealings with the Longshoreman at the Port of Oakland. Bunch of jerks. The ones at Tacoma were friendly, outgoing and helpful. Thanks to everyone
