Port of Call

4.5

About this business

This cozy little spot is the place to come when you just need a burger. Its small size is made even smaller by the influx of hungry folks looking for lunch. After 7p when the business crowds disperse the restaurant is not quite as crowded. Locals have announced the hamburgers to be the best in town. They are served with a baked potato if their large size is not enough to fill you. The attentive staff at Port of Call also serves pizzas, filet mignon, rib eye steak and New York strip.

Always a winner. If you want a spectacular cheeseburger and baked potato, this is your place. Been coming here for 25 years. Can never go wrong. Do yourself a favor, have it with a Monsoon to drink. A few steaks and burgers all that's on the menu. Ive always heard the steaks are great too. Never tried one though because I can never get past that cheeseburger.

Went there to celebrate my 44th birthday. I can say that we were thoroughly disappointed. We ordered 3 Hamburger plates, cooked well done. When they arrived 2 of the burgers were cooked medium well & mine was medium. The waitress took one of the medium well cooked burgers & just recooked it, after a bite had already been taken out of the burger. I guess they never heard of cross contamination! My daughter-in-law decided to eat her burger since it didn't bother her that it was slightly undercooked. I thought mine was cooked m... read more
