Great place w/ a unique character & style of its own. Seating around the bar area, much as you would have seen in the old 40’s & 50’s diners. Menus w/ a mix of beverages & food over the door. No need for menus. Food was delicious & seemed to be somewhere that locals would converge after work. Staff were attentive & made certain everyone got what they needed in a timely manner. Worth a visit for sure. Location is a little off from other places you might want to visit. But area appeared to be safe & quite. Just not as built up... read more

Went here for the first time today and I must say, for someone who isn’t really a milkshake person and doesn’t really care for them, Chuck’s has the best milkshakes on the PLANET(try the banana w/ peanutbutter). I also had a burger, which even though it did not come with fries, adding a side of fries to the bill did not bother me seeing as they give you a more than generous amount(enough for 2 people, even for big guys its enough). I would def recommend this to anyone who lives in or near downtown raleigh or surrounding town... read more

Food was great and so was the service. Hard to find the building, but it was worth it when we did! Casual place.

Was our first time there and we took friends from out of town. 1. We got there when they opened but then they don’t start seating till 5:30 (not sure why but would of been nice to know) 2. We ordered but the food took over an hour to get and it made the ladies in our group very late to their outing they had to get it to go!! Was very disappointed in the wait time the waitress keep apologizing (not her fault)... not sure if I will go back...

I had the Dirty South burger and the Onion Rings. Food was good, prices decent and the service was good. I would go back without hesitation.

We stopped in for a quick dinner before a concert, and were very pleased with the quick, friendly service and excellent food. We had burgers and fries, but another diner’s fried pickles caught my eye, so I’ll be back!
