Fun, Casual Dining Poole's Downtown Diner is an eclectic upscale diner and bar in a retro 50's atmosphere. With meals ranging from burgers and meatloaf to Indian (curried) chicken and vegan stews, exciting staff, and music genres from Blues to Alternative, we promise an inviting atmosphere and great time for everyone. Open till 2 am on the weekends. PROS: Laid back atmosphere, great music, wide menu selection, low prices CONS: Not kid friendly, only street parking until after 5pm
Publicly outing an ex-employee who was sexually assaulted at your restaurant is a despicable move. No food is good enough to justify morally bankrupt management and ownership.
We love Poole’s and it always delivers! Tonight was a take out only night due to the Coronavirus and it was amazing. This unique place is one of a kind and a must try.
A “must visit” when you visit Raleigh!
It was like hell. There were no menus. We ordered pimento cheese and were given a small ball of cheese and saltine crackers, only to be told later the cheese contained raw egg. The only thing on the entree menu that looked appetizing was the “royale”, which was essentially a undercooked, unseasoned meatball with unmelted cheese on top, served on one slice of toast with a side cold au ju.
